Child abuse Intro....

Can you spot child abuse and if you can then can you prevent it the right way? A mother of 6 was taped by her 10 year old daughter, while she was making her adopted son hold hot sauce in his mouth because he had lied to her. After hearing this, she asked her son what else happens when you like to me, he says “I get a cold shower” (video, the early show). The mother then places him in the cold shower. In the video, while sitting in the cold show you can hear him screaming. If the child had told you what had happened would you know what to do?

Sometimes it can be hard to know if a child with a bruise or mark is being abused. Children get bruises all the time. They fall of a bike, hit their head on objects, or even pull things off high shelves. Other bruise or marks on a child are strong indications that a child is being hit or abused. By watching the way a child acts can even indicate they are being abuse in some way or form. When you see marks or signs of abuse are you going to know who to call or even what to say when you do call? If you fall into the category of not knowing what to do, this paper will inform you on the proper protocol of dealing with child abuse situations.

underpaid?!

Hi I'm Victoria and I'm a freshman. This is one of my first blogs. So, here it goes..

People save citizen’s lives everyday either by running into a house that is on fire, arresting someone who has done wrong, or even fighting for their country. What do they get for their heroism? Maybe a small pat on the back with a little, and when I say little I mean it, paycheck? We sit here and just let it happen. Police officers and firemen risk their lives every day to save ours and we pay them hardly anything at all. If we value our own safely then we shouldn’t mind paying them a little extra to make sure every one of us is safe. They earn every cent of their paycheck and then some with their bravery and courage alone. They give of themselves on behalf of others so we can give a little bit of our funds  to show that we appreciate all that they do.
